A primary bedroom with a view.

This bedroom is all about the view of the surrounding hills, trees, and the San Antonio skyline off in the distance. To keep the focus on the beautiful view, this bedroom is primarily outfitted with neutrals. Pops of color in olive green and golden yellow complement the natural landscape and give some visual interest. A wall of built-in wardrobes with interior organizers was added as a cost-effective way to increase closet space rather than embarking on a full renovation.

BEFORE:

Something old, something new, something handmade, something blue.

There are elements of this bathroom I really loved before renovating it. The vintage green tub, sinks, and toilet. The brass fixtures. The mosaic tile repeated throughout the bathroom. However, there was quite a bit that wasn’t working (literally and figuratively). To address plumbing issues, the tile had to be removed in the shower and around the tub. There was also carpet in the first half of the bathroom, so the floor needed to be replaced. A redundant wall was omitted to increase natural light in the space.

I worked to keep as many of the beautiful original details as I could while updating the areas that needed attention. My goal was to update the space thoughtfully, making it feel as though it could have been that way all along.
