From blank slate to slate blue

This dining room was a great blank slate to add some personality! Speaking of slate, the inspiration for this dining room was the slate blue color used on the walls, ceiling, and built-in cabinetry. I wanted the space to feel moody, as the rest of the home is fairly bright and airy. Cone shapes in the lighting, artwork, and ceramics create repetition and movement. This room is a great example of mixing high and low priced items, as well as new and second-hand. Some of the items are new custom pieces, while others are thrifted.
